G.K. City Montessori School is established and administered by the 'G.K. City Montessori School Shaikshanik avam Sanskratic Punarutthan Samiti, a charitable society registered in Bareilly on 27 March 1998, under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The registration is renewed every five years. It was founded in fond memory of Late Smt. Geeta Kumari by her husband, Shri G.B. Satyawali, in 1998. ICSE affiliation was accorded to the school in 2007, and since then, the school has successfully kept pace with the guidelines and standards of the council. In 2024, the school obtained ISC affiliation as well and started classes for 11th and 12th grades.

G.K. City Montessori School is situated on the mini bypass road joining Nainital road to Rampur road. This institute is located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible; public transport is also available from all corners of the city. The institute's philosophy and ideal are truly symbolized by its emblem and motto 'Satyamev Jayate'.

Founder's Message

Late Shri G.B. Satyawali laid the foundation stone of the G.K. City Montessori School in the memory of his wife Late Mrs. Geeta Kumari in 1998 in accordance of his son and Co-founder of the school Late Mr. H.C. Satyawali. Since 1998 Shri G.B. Satyawali remained a guiding light and and blessing for G.K.C.M.S. He served the state government as ADM City and SDM of Bareilly City.

In 2010, following the demise of his son, Shri H.C. Satyawali, circumstances compelled him to assume direct control of the school, and he became integral to its day-to-day affairs. He prioritized upgrading the school's infrastructure. During his tenure, G.K.C.M.S.

Co-Founder's Message

In 1998 Late Shri H.C Satyawali began materializing the dream of his father, Late Shri G.B. Satyawali. The school started as a small group of teachers and students, for whom the co-founder and director of the institution worked tirelessly.

In 2007, G.K. City Montessori School was accorded ICSE affiliation. The school improved its infrastructure, following the council's approach and guidelines, as the person at the helm of affairs was deeply concerned about all aspects of the school.

The small group blossomed into a thriving institution by 2010, when the first batch of Class X students appeared for the ICSE board exams. Sadly, H.C. Satyawali passed away that year, dealing a setback to the G.K.C.M.S. family.

City Montessori School is determined to acquire everything in its infrastructure that enables our students to dream beyond the mediocre parameters and has shaped the curriculum to realize this goal. Since 2010, every graduating batch of ICSE has proven our approach with excellent results, outperforming the students of previous batches.

Foundational Stage

This Stage Covers The Ages Of 3 To 8 And Includes Three Years Of Pre-Primary Education And Two Years Of Primary Education (Classes 1 And 2). The Focus Of This Stage Is On Developing Language Skills, Numeracy Skills, And Basic Cognitive Abilities Through Play-Based And Activity-Based Learning.

Preparatory Stage

This Stage Covers The Ages Of 8 To 11 And Includes Three Years Of Upper Primary Education (Classes 3 To 5). The Focus Of This Stage Is On Building Foundational Literacy And Numeracy Skills, As Well As Introducing Students To Various Subjects Such As Science, Social Studies, Arts, And Languages. The Pedagogy Will Be Interactive And Experiential, With An Emphasis On Discovery And Exploration.

Middle Stage

This Stage Covers The Ages Of 11 To 14 And Includes Three Years Of Secondary Education (Classes 6 To 8). The Focus Of This Stage Is On Deepening The Conceptual Understanding Of Various Subjects, Developing Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, And Fostering Creativity And Innovation. Secondary Stage

This Stage Covers The Ages Of 14 To 18 And Includes Four Years Of Senior Secondary Education (Classes 9 To 12). The Focus Of This Stage Is On Preparing Students For Higher Education And Career Opportunities, As Well As Developing Their Personal And Social Values. The Pedagogy Will Be Flexible And Student-Centered, With A Choice Of Subjects And Streams According To Their Interests And Aptitudes.
